About
Heath, a small crew, and a decade of Buda yards.
Pioneer Lawn & Landscape has been laying limestone, mulching beds, running irrigation, and keeping Austin-area lawns sharp since 2008. Same hands, same standards, same Hays County route.

“Set the base right.”
— Heath, Pioneer
Our story
Started in 2008.Still here, still on the route.
Pioneer Lawn & Landscape grew up around Heath and a small Hays County crew — the kind of operation where the person who quotes the patio is also the one who lays the first course of stone. Over a decade later, the truck is newer, the trailer’s bigger, and the work has expanded from weekly mowing into the full stack: limestone walls, flagstone walks, irrigation, low-voltage lighting, pressure washing. The crew hasn’t turned over.
Hill Country soil punishes shortcuts. The settlers who put up the limestone houses around old-town Buda and Driftwood didn’t cheat the base — those walls are still standing because of what’s under the ground, not what’s on top of it. We work the same way. Compacted base, geotextile, polymeric sand, and the boring foundational hour you’d rather skip.
Most of our customers came from a neighbor pointing across the fence. After ten-plus years of routes through Buda, Kyle, Driftwood, and Dripping Springs, we like that just fine.
