Buda, TX · Hays County · Working here since 2008
Heath has been laying limestone, mulching beds, and keeping Buda yards sharp for over a decade. Stonework, irrigation, lighting, and weekly maintenance from one crew that actually shows up.
Free, no-pressure walk-through. We quote on-site so the number you get is the number you pay.
How we work
Hill Country soil is half rock, half clay. Settlers who put up the limestone houses around Buda and Driftwood didn’t cheat the base — the walls are still standing because of what’s under the ground, not what’s on top of it. That’s the same way we set every patio, retaining wall, and irrigation run we build today.
Heath has run this in Buda for over ten years — same hands, same standards. When a customer says “the wall you built in 2014 still looks new,” that’s the whole point.
Limestone, flagstone, and pavers laid on properly compacted base with geotextile underlayment and polymeric sand — the boring part nobody photographs. That’s why our hardscape stays level when the clay swells in February.
We don’t chase work to Round Rock or Cedar Park. Buda, Kyle, Driftwood, Dripping Springs, South Austin — that’s the route. Tight territory means we’re actually on time when we say we’ll be on time.
“If we set the base right, the surface stays level a decade later. That’s the whole job — everything else is just picking out the stone.”
— Heath, Pioneer Lawn & Landscape
What we do
Pick one service or all of them. We do the boring foundational work right so the lawn keeps looking good between visits.

How it works
We try to make hiring us boring in the best way — predictable, quiet, easy to explain to your spouse.
We come out, listen to what you want, and look at what the lawn actually needs. No high-pressure quotes, no surprises.
You get a flat per-visit price the same day. That number is what shows up on the invoice — no add-ons.
Once we start, the same two-person crew shows up the same morning every week. Quiet, on-time, gate latched.

Most of these are weekly customers. The lawn looks like this between our visits — that’s the point.

The route
Tight territory, fixed weekly route. We don’t take jobs two hours away because the gas eats the margin and the drive eats your appointment window. Here’s the line we run from the Buda yard.
Buda
Home base. Old-town homes off Main Street, newer builds on the FM-2770 side, plus the Garlic Creek and Whispering Hollow neighborhoods.
Kyle
Plum Creek, Kyle Crossing, and the older Center Street stretch. Heavy clay; we plan irrigation around the swell.
Driftwood
Ranch-style lots, longer drives, fence-line cleanups, and serious live-oak uplighting work.
Dripping Springs
Hill grade and limestone bedrock — every patio out here needs real base prep, not just a leveling job.
South Austin
Slaughter, Manchaca, the 1626/Sauer-Beckmann side. Older lawns, mature trees, narrow side gates.

In their words
Some of the long-time customers who put up with us showing up every week, rain or shine.
Heath and his team do a great job mowing our yard which isn’t easy to do — and the stone work they put in around the beds has held up perfectly.
